IC Workflow

1Product Purpose

A module that takes a real estate transaction or portfolio action from origination through approval through post-close follow-up.

This is not just a memo repository.
It is the system of record for investment decisions.

It should:

  • standardize underwriting submissions,
  • route reviews to the right parties,
  • run policy/compliance checks,
  • capture approvals and conditions,
  • and track outstanding actions after approval.

The system should let the team:

  • Classify what type of decision is being requested
  • Attach financials, assumptions, and supporting documents
  • Run policy and concentration checks automatically
  • Route the case through review stages
  • Record comments, revisions, and version history
  • Approve / decline / defer with rationale
  • Track conditions and follow-ups after the decision
  • Audit who changed what, when, and why

4Decision Types

The first screen should require the user to choose one of these. These types should drive required fields and workflow paths:
